EcoScan was founded in 2017 by a group of passionate individuals who wanted to make a difference in the world. They were driven by the belief that everyone can make a positive impact on the environment, and that it’s up to all of us to take responsibility for our waste.

The idea for EcoScan came from a personal experience of one of the founders. While on a trip abroad, they struggled to figure out how to recycle properly in an unfamiliar city. This led to the realisation that waste management is a global issue, and that there was a need for a simple and effective solution to help people recycle correctly, no matter where they are in the world.

With this in mind, the team set out to create an app that would make waste sorting easy and accessible for everyone. They spent countless hours researching and developing the technology behind the app, which uses barcode scanning and image recognition to identify the type of waste and provide users with the correct sorting advice based on their location.

Since its launch in 2018, EcoScan has grown to support 7 countries, and has helped countless people to recycle more effectively. The team is passionate about making a positive impact on the environment, and believes that by working together, we can create a more sustainable future for ourselves and for generations to come.
